Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, you will play an integral part in the success of the team and the store. You will ensure that we provide exceptional customer service, have only the highest quality of goods, and work in an efficient and productive manner on a daily basis. You will be cross-trained in every aspect of store operations, from being responsible for managing a team of associates, ordering products, and working the register to stocking the shelves and opening and closing the store. Supervisors are trained and developed to be a part of a fast-paced team where juggling responsibilities is a must.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure excellent customer service by meeting customer needs
  • Provide clear and direct communication to both customers and colleagues
  • Motivate employees and create a results-focused working environment
  • Ensure that all store spaces are clean, well maintained, and properly merchandised
  • Ensure product availability through the ordering of all product areas within the store
  • Ensure a high level of productivity by maintaining effective and efficient work practices
  • Ensure that freshness, cleanliness, and quality control standards are met
  • Unpack, stock, and merchandise as needed
  • Facilitate the opening and closing of the store
  • Receive deliveries and oversee warehouse organization
  • Operate the cash register while following all cash handling procedures
  • Perform daily cash office operational functions
  • Monitor loss prevention efforts within the store
  • Implement store tasks as delegated by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
  • Be knowledgeable about our product assortment
  • All other duties and responsibilities as required
Required

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in any capacity
  • Basic reading comprehension level and ability to count and measure accurately to perform in store functions such as inventory, cash management, ordering, etc.
  • Ability to follow and implement operational guidelines and safety requirements
  • Ability to comprehend and implement store processes with your team
  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and in a friendly manner when dealing with customers, team members, and vendors
  • Ability to lead, delegate, and assign tasks effectively
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems in alignment with company objectives
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in the English language, including the ability to speak, read, and understand English

 

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Must have obtained a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be 21 years or older

 

Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast paced working environment with the capability to switch job functions/roles quickly
  • Ability to work in situations that involve prolonged standing, walking, squatting and/or bending
  • Ability to work in various conditions, such as outdoor weather conditions or freezers
  • Ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) in excess of 50 lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to handle all Lidl products, to include but not limited to, meat, poultry, alcohol products, and food products with known allergens, such as nuts
  • Ability to operate machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists frequently
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) frequently
